Everything's Coming Up Milhouse! {Or in our case, Nam}

Today was my SIS (saline intrauterine sonogram) appointment in Carmel and it went GREAT! My uterine cavity looks fantastic - normal shape, not tipped or anything weird, and no polyps or fibroids! My ovaries are, of course, covered in cysts thanks to my PCOS but the doctor said not to worry, he'll just prescribe something along with the other meds to help prevent pre-mature ovulation and hyper ovarian stimulation, which is especially a concern with PCOS patients, because we have so many follicles on our ovaries that are being stimulated by the medications. Dr. C said my hormone levels were fine (or at least what he expected) and the hormone they checked (AMH) to given an indication of ovarian reserve was high (8.1), which is FANTASTIC news, because it means my eggs are definitely in there, we just have to find the good ones! So, I can check two things off of my worry list from last week: no low ovarian reserve or premature ovarian failure to worry about, and no fibroids or polyps to remove! Woohoo!!

They also took some blood from J and me to check for infectious diseases and blood type us both (that didn't go as well -- it took the phlebotomist three attempts separated by 30 minutes to find a good vein on me), so we'll await the news on that. Assuming that all comes back fine, we have the green light to continue on with our plan to begin the meds at the end of July, with egg retrieval and transfer of one embryo in early August!! 

What's next? Await blood test results, and call when my next period comes so the nurses can put in the order for my meds, and of course, figure out the loan situation. We're moving right along and we are SO EXCITED!! We were all smiles on the way home -- my body is FINALLY cooperating and things are coming together. I can't explain it, it just feels right. Everything's coming up Nam!
